This is my second visit to this holy place.On my previous visit I visited most of the places which can be seen from Varanasi.This time its just to visit Biswanath Temple. We were 7 people this time(including my two nephews).
I booked the Ganapati Guest House at Meer Ghat which had a wonderful view of the Ganges.We had our ticket booked for Bibhuti Express bot up and down.We boarded train at around 8 Pm on 17th September, 2009.We reached Varanasi Jn. at 12.30 Am next day.Train was 2 hrs late as expected to be.We had a pick up van from hotel waiting at the station.So we didn't had to bargain for a ride to hotel this time.I went to sleep after having lunch.Then we went to see the Arti at Dasashwamedh Ghat.We all woke up at 4 Am next day.We went to mandir for puja.We found very few people there at that early in the day.So we managed to do our puja without any queue.They all took bath in the Ganges.I didn't took the bath as the water was too muddy.In the evening we attended the Arti again.After that it was the time for shopping as I was the sole Cooley there(Carrying the packets).Next day after lunch we boarded train at 6 Pm.I reached Kolkata next day at 11 Am.Again it was 3 hrs late as expected.

All over it was short and sweet kind of a trip.
